On 17th October, we hosted in partnership with Outcome.life the Tech Networking Event for IT professionals. Domenic Saporito, co-founders of Outcome.Life was the keynote speaker, and he shared valuable tips regarding how to secure the first job in Australia and how to start your own business. The event was an opportunity for job seekers to network with professionals from various organisations and understand more about the IT job market.
The Women of Impact panel discussion happened on 6th November. They provided an inspiring conversation on how women from CALD background can overcome the barriers to finding and securing employment in Australia. The panellists were Dr Melika Yassin Shekh Eldin (Manager International and Community Development at AMES Australia), Lavania Parker (Innovation Manager at Australia Post) and Irene Yu (Director Migrant & Multicultural Banking at Westpac & Bank of Melbourne) and the panel discussion was facilitated by Prabha Bogoda Arachchige (PhD candidate at Monash University).
