Adelaide CBD is located in the north of greater Adelaide, surrounded by beautiful parks and gardens. Its major features include the Convention Centre, Entertainment Centre and the redeveloped Adelaide Oval. The city has preserved many of its original stone houses made by the original settlers as well as the more grand historic public buildings built during the Gold Rush years.
During February and March, residents call it “Mad March”, and residents and travellers gather in the city centre to celebrate Adelaide Fringe Festival and other cultural festivities.
