Partnering with government

We work with the Government, undertaking research and using this to guide policy to achieve better outcomes for newly arrived refugees and migrants and the broader community.

Advocacy and Policy Reform

The AMES Australia Board, CEO and Executive remain in close contact with key Commonwealth and State Government Ministers and Departmental Secretaries of portfolios relevant to migrant and refugee matters. As a provider of services to culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Tasmania, we work closely with the government in their endeavours to connect federal, state and local government services.

Research

We believe that sharing evidence-based research is the most constructive way to inform discussions that may shape future social policy and improve service delivery to our clients. Taking an evidence-based approach, AMES Australia provides credible evidence to inform government, sector stakeholders and the wider community on policies and practices that influence the experiences of migrants and refugees.
